PS Shaukat Underscores the Importance of Science, Research and Innovation in Advancing Human Development The Principal Secretary for the State Department for Science, Research and Innovation, Prof. Shaukat Abdulrazak, today graced the International Human Development Conference Workshop as it marked its 10th anniversary at Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Nairobi in Westlands, Nairobi. The conference brought together policymakers, researchers, development practitioners, academia, private sector representatives and other stakeholders to reflect on a decade of progress in advancing human development while exploring innovative solutions to emerging challenges. In his remarks, Prof. Abdulrazak emphasized the critical role of science, research and innovation in transforming societies and improving the well-being of citizens. He noted that strategic investments in research and innovation are essential for generating knowledge, driving technological advancement and developing evidence-based solutions to address pressing social and economic challenges.
